The call of the Ministry of Culture for cultural projects for 2021 has ended. So far, artists with 240 projects have responded to this call , seeking support from this institution. Deputy Minister Meri Kumbe explains the priorities that the Ministry of Culture will have this year, for the projects that will be supported with 150 thousand to 300 thousand ALL.
“Currently we count about 240 projects. The second call is again dedicated to the cultural aspect through technology, but that focuses on the education of generations. The third is related to artistic activities, which focus on performance, festivals or performing arts. But, in cases where we will have crowds of people, we will be obliged to follow the rules of Covid 19. According to the official publication, the first lot is supported with 300 thousand ALL, the second with 200 thousand ALL and 150 thousand ALL. During 2020, due to the Covid pandemic, 19 winning projects of the first phase were canceled, adapting to the protocols of the Ministry of Health of which only 67 of them were realized.
“The year 2020 has been difficult for all people, both in human and professional terms. We suspended a good portion of the activities, including those that focused on gathering people. The calls we made were those of a digital nature, about 67 of them”, says Kumbe.
Currently, the administrative procedures have started with the files that have been submitted to the Ministry of Culture and the winners will be made public.
