The US Embassy in Tirana has published the new decision taken by the Center for Disease Control(CDC) in the US, for all citizens who want to travel to the United States of America, including Albanians, that the negative test for Covid-19, is no longer performed more than three days before departure for the trip.
If you have not passed Covid-19, you need a PCR test, performed in the last 3 days before the trip, which shows you are not infected. Or be prepared to show proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel. Starting January 26, if you are traveling by plane from another country to the United States, you must present a negative COVID-19 test result or proof that you have passed COVID-19 before traveling,” the American Embassy in Tirana writes.
“This order will replace a previous one currently in force until January 25, and signed by the Director of the CDC on December 25, 2020, which requires a negative COVID-19 test result before departure for all airline passengers arriving in the United States. This Order applies to all air passengers, 2 years of age or older, traveling into the US, including US citizens and legal permanent residents” the statement said. “Test no more than 3 days before your flight to the US. Be sure to get tested with a viral test (NAAT or antigen test) to determine if you are currently infected with COVID-19. Also make sure you get your results before the flight and have your results documentation shown before the flight,”writes the US Embassy .
